Worship Choir Regathering

Worship Choir Regathering

Dear Choir Members,
It has truly been a long summer because of the Covid-19 pandemic.  I personally am ready to get back to some resemblance of normalcy. I miss seeing each of you and I miss rehearsing and learning new music with you. I also have missed having you sing and lead in worship on Sunday mornings. I know that some of you are still unsure about regathering back at church and are taking every precaution to ensure you are protected from this virus. As we enter the beginning of a new choir season I also want to take extra care in having each of you back in choir. Therefore, we will begin our choir season in sectional rehearsals instead of having the full choir rejoin together. We will meet in the choir room and each section will be spaced at the six feet recommended social distance. I would like to begin the first Wednesday evening in August with the Soprano section beginning at 7:30 pm. Then each subsequent Wednesday we will meet with a different section of the choir. We will be rehearsing music for Sunday mornings and also begin our Christmas preparation. The schedule for regathering of our choir is as follows:
August 5th – Soprano
August 12th – Alto
August 19 – Tenor
August 26 – Bass
As we near the end of August I will re-evaluate the current situation with the virus and the state of regathering that we are in as a church. My goal is for us to begin meeting back as a full choir on the first Wednesday evening in September. We will also begin singing in services the 2nd Sunday in September which would be September 13th. Thank you so much for your understanding in this matter and I also thank you for your willingness to be back with us. There are some who still may feel unsure about joining us even in a smaller group setting. This is completely understandable and I would encourage you to regather when you feel comfortable. There are also some in our choir who have attended in the past and have been absent from our group for a while. I would ask that you invite them back for this new season. Let’s make this the best choir season yet and let’s purpose in our hearts now to worship God to the best of our abilities and to make that our primary goal!  See you all soon!
Blessings,
Pastor Greg
