We are partnering with Phoenix Baptist Church in Lansing. The church is partnering with the Lansing Fire Department. They are in need of work crews. Right now they are in need of teams to help with basement clean outs. Please consider going or sending a team from your class. All that is needed is close-toed shoes and work gloves.
The pastor of Phoenix Baptist is Chris Goforth who was called into the ministry out of our church. His dad is Dale Goforth and his grandma is Ella Mae Goforth. It is also my mother’s home church.
Right they asking us to hold off on donations for about a week so they can better determine what they will need in the coming weeks and months. Thank you all so much for your contributions and volunteer work to help restore communities that have been devastated by the hurricane.
